Whale-like-fish was inspired by the most famous news story to ever come out of the Highlands.
In April 1933, the Inverness Courier quoted Mrs Aldie Mackay, manageress of the Drumnadrochit Hotel, as having seen a “whale-like fish” in Loch Ness. The story of the Loch Ness monster was born and has continued to make the news headlines all over the world ever since. The Loch Ness Monster also kickstarted the tourism industry in the Highlands. Now worth £41 million annually, visitors flock to the Highlands every year to see if they will be lucky enough to see Nessie.
Possibly the best PR campaign ever created, the Loch Ness Monster has inspired numerous innovative initiatives to attract visitors.
Of course, at Whale-like-fish we are all Nessie believers and we are also believers in the power of PR. It is our privilege to work with businesses all over the Highlands to help them make waves.
